Movement awareness has always been of great interest for Dr.  Lemieux who had the privilege to be a performing artist for several years before being a physical therapist.  Dr. Lemieux was then a founding member of The Bebe Miller Dance Company in NYC and  danced with the company nationally and internationally for 8 years.  For several years Dr. Lemieux has taught modern dance privately and in university dance department.

Dr. Lemieux’s holistic approach to evaluate and treat the  client/patient finds root through her extensive movement background which includes the study of dance, yoga, Pilates and Alexander technique.  Her hands on treatment is strongly influenced  by an osteopathic approach and the Schroth method.

Dr. Lemieux is a member of the APTA and is currently pursuing course work with the Maitland Institute and with Saint Augustine’s University in manual therapy.  Her Schroth certification 1 is from the Barcelona School BSPTS, with whom she continues to study.
